Joy-Anna Duggar’s Husband Austin Forsyth Is Using ‘Counting On’ To Share His Ultra Conservative Beliefs.
An Instagram user wrote that without the money from the show Forsyth and his in-laws would quickly go broke since none of them have jobs, but they still enjoy trips, parties, and have a bunch of babies. The writer also said that it was very sad and a selfish way to live.
When Forsyth responded, he said that money had nothing to do with his decision to join his wife on her popular reality series. Instead, it was the opportunity to spread the word of Jesus.
“It’s amazing to me how people make emphatic statements about stuff to which they have no clue about. It’s crazy how much you know about me yet have never met me,” the Duggar husband wrote. “The show is to promote Jesus Christ and his goodness. I hope and pray you have a relationship with him.”
Back in 2011, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar spoke at Liberty University and explained that they agreed to let cameras into their lives as long as the show didn’t leave out their faith because their faith is the core of their lives. Michelle added that they have a family ministry and are sharing with the world that children are a gift from God.
