The Grammy Awards have embraced rap and hip-hop in the top categories this year, with several major nods each for Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino. Jay-Z leads this year’s pack with eight nominations, while Lamar picked up seven, and pop singer-songwriter Bruno Mars earned six. Singer, Beyoncé stole the spotlight with her stunning look at the 2018 Grammys last night, and it has now been revealed she spent multi-millions of dollars to look that great. According to ET, the 36-year-old singer, who skipped the red carpet, but posted on Instagram, opted for $6.8 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz jewels at the event on Sunday night, in which her look also paid tribute to the Black Panther party. Net neutrality is the idea that all websites will load just as fast as any other site when you access them from your device. From streaming Netflix to posting on Facebook to shopping on Amazon and reading articles on First to Know, your internet speed for all of these activities are the same under our current net neutral system. But that could all change very soon. Ajit Pai, a former lawyer for Verizon and now the FCC Chairman appointed by the Trump Administration, wants to end net neutrality and give Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) the freedom to pick and choose which sites you’ll have access to and others that may not load at all. A woman claims in High Court proceedings that her business was destroyed by a false email and rumours circulated by singer Rihanna about the woman’s partner. Dana Kavanagh (43), of Woodbank Drive, Valley Park, Finglas, Dublin, is suing the Barbados-born singer whose under the name Robyn Fenty, aka Rihanna, with an address in New York, USA. The case was before the court this week for mention when it was adjourned to next month on consent between the parties to allow Ms Kavanagh provide an affidavit. Ms Kavanagh is suing for damages and loss of earnings arising out of what she says is a false and malicious email, sent to her by Rihanna on July 11, 2013, containing untrue references to her partner Geoffrey Keating (39). Mr Keating worked for the singer during 2012 and 2013. Rihanna denies the claims. Walmart have been forced to apologize after they appeared to market firearms as “back to school” items. A picture from one of their stores appeared on Twitter Wednesday, which showed a case of guns with the sign “Own the school year like a hero” above it. Muhammadu Buhari has promised that the income accrued by Nigeria on rising oil prices will be spent on infrastructural development. He said hat the extra funds outside the provision of year 2018 budget “will be deployed to infrastructure projects like roads, rail, and power, for the good of our people, and for the development of the country.” President Buhari also thanked Eni for its upcoming investments in the oil industry, which included rehabilitation of Port Harcourt refinery, and the building of a new one. He said: “In my first coming, all our refineries were working. Port Harcourt used to refine 60,000 barrels per day, and it was later upgraded to 100,000 barrels. Kaduna and Warri were also working optimally, and we used to satisfy the demand of the local market. We equally exported 100,000 barrels of refined petrol. Now, no refinery is performing up to 50%. It is a disgraceful thing.”

Mrs Titi Atiku, wife of former Vice-President Abubakar Atiku, told an Ikeja High Court that Akpan-Jacobs, the pastor, who allegedly defrauded her of N918 million was her “errand boy”. Paris (CNN) Paris was on flood alert throughout the weekend after the swollen Seine burst its banks, leaving streets flooded and forcing parts of the lower level of the famous Louvre Museum to close. On Sunday, water levels were holding at 5.87 meters (just over 19 feet), according to CNN Meteorologist Gene Norman, and were expected to peak later in the evening around 6 meters (about 19.5 feet). The river overflowed in some places this week when water levels reached just over 5 meters (nearly 17 feet). Paris Police previously said the Seine was forecast to reach 5.95 meters (nearly 20 feet) overnight from Sunday into Monday.
